Explosive Detector
The EVD3500 is a flexible and easy to operate, dual mode,
portable hand held explosives detector designed and produced in the United
States, capable of both vapour and particulate sampling, which does not use a
radioactive source or any consumables.
Vapours are sampled directly by vacuum into the sampling
nozzle.
Particulate are sampled by swiping a suspected object with
cotton gloves and then transferring the traces to a screen which is inserted
into the sampling port.
This dual capability enables users to select the most
suitable method of sampling for the explosives of interest; EVD3500 starts
processing samples immediately and gives results in just seconds.
All identifying results are indicated on the LCD and by a
volume-adjustable audio alarm, making detection a simple one-step process.

The EVD 3500 is the only hand-held device capable of
detecting the presence of plastic and high vapour pressure explosives,
including taggants.

traces of particulate and vapours, non-invasively searching luggage, mail,
clothing, electronic articles, cars, trucks, documents and containers.
PORTABLE
The EVD3500 is self-contained, rugged, and lightweight less
than 3.0KG, and comes in a fully equipped and rugged carrying case.
EASY TO USE
Ready to use without warm-up (after a daily one minute
start), simple push button automatic sampling with go / no go readouts
displayed on an easy-to-read LCD. It is ideal for use by non technical
personnel.

SENSITIVE AND SELECTIVE
EVD 3500 can detect even one minute trace (low nanogram

powder, Ammonium Nitrate, Urea Nitrate, Nitro-glycerine and TATP with low false
alarm levels and few interferents.
